Convencido de que el cine es un arma de contrainformaci\u00f3n, un instrumento para los de abajo, Raymundo document\u00f3 la situaci\u00f3n social y pol\u00edtica de Am\u00e9rica Latina desde 1963. Sus comienzos fueron etnogr\u00e1ficos y period\u00edsticos. Luego, pas\u00f3 a hacer un cine fuertemente pol\u00edtico de cuestionamiento y denuncia, muchas veces clandestino. En 1973, crea el grupo Cine de la base para llevar el cine a los mismos protagonistas de sus films: los despose\u00eddos de la tierra, los obreros, los indios y los campesinos.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En <strong>Cine York<\/strong> (Juan B.
