All\u00ed asiste a una ni\u00f1a rica, Gabriela (Nury Monts\u00e9), para verse con su novio, Luis G\u00e1lvez (Osvaldo Miranda). En un baile, Juanita usa un vestido que le ha regalado Gabriela y la confunden con la millonaria. El periodista Mariano Torres (Pepe Iglesias) se ve atra\u00eddo por ella, no sin cierto inter\u00e9s por su fortuna. El malentendido contin\u00faa, Mariano y Juanita comienzan a salir. Gabriela muere tr\u00e1gicamente en un accidente de autom\u00f3vil, por lo que Mariano cree que su novia ha muerto, y siente de verdad que la ama. M\u00e1s tarde, Juanita decide no seguir con la farsa y confesar la verdad, luego de hab\u00e9rsele \u00abaparecido\u00bb a su novio en varias oportunidades.
