Lumiton is in the final stages of cataloging and digitizing the William Castagna Collection, concurrently with its presentation on our website. You can view it in the Film Archive section<\/a>, where we make our digitized film archive, which continues to expand, accessible to the community.<\/span><\/p>\n

The collection consists of a significant number of 8-millimeter and super 8 mm film reels. It comprises a large amount of homemade footage and raw scenes from re-versions of films like Star Wars and other stories. <\/span>In these recordings, we witness William’s life during his youth in the United States, but also a world from a distant time, as the majority of the footage dates back to the late 1970s. We can also see the raw scenes from homemade versions made with a lot of humor.<\/span><\/p>\n

Will or William Castagna lived in Buenos Aires with his family for a few years and brought with him the material he had produced during 1977 and 1978 in a film workshop in New Jersey, New York. One of his teachers was Mark Eisenstein, who later directed The Electric Chair in 1985.
