The Lumiton Usina Audiovisual Museum houses a specialized film library available for consultation It boasts a valuable collection of books on film theory, photography, numerous biographies of significant figures in the film industry, as well as various specialized dictionaries related to the field of cinema. It also holds an extensive collection of specialized magazines from different eras, as well as vintage film programs and other available content.
Our library catalog includes titles such as Lumiton: The Label that Shaped Argentinian Cinema, Cine argentino – Industria y clasicismo, magazines like Cahiers du Cinema and El Amante, catalogs from various international film festivals, educational books, biographies of industry icons, among others. Many of these items were donated by Asociación Civil Centro Cultural Estudios Cinematográficos Lumiton, various institutions, and local residents.
The library is available for in-room consultation to students, researchers, specialized journalists, and individuals interested in topics related to cinema and audiovisual arts. Visiting hours are from Monday to Friday, from 10 am to 6 pm, with prior registration, which can be coordinated via email at [email protected].
